How to style your shop with the Found x Appear Here Collection

6 Jun 2019

The new Found x Appear Here collaboration is conceived to enable brands to fit a store as swiftly and simply as possible – without compromising on quality. There are six core pieces in the collection, designed to the exacting standards you’d expect from one of the world’s most prominent retail architects. Want to know how to style them? We’ve pulled together some of our favourite looks to compile this guide for styling out your store.

Create a mini-market

The Appear Here x Courier Market was an essential part of the first-ever Courier Live event, taking place at Republic London. An indoor marketplace that enabled brands – showcasing everything from food to fashion – to display their wares during the conference. Each stall used a Found x Appear Here cash desk, branded with their logo, alongside a mix of plinths, rails and mirrors tailored to their needs. Most stalls used two plinths to frame the cash desk that also acted as the primary display area. This set up is perfect for any brands or organisations looking to create their own marketplace or multi-brand activation.

A canvas for your creativity

Liam Hodges is one of Appear Here’s 2019 Space for Ideas winners and used the Found x Appear Here collection to fit out his immersive ‘Physical Reality’ store on Greek Street, Soho. Liam’s vision was a multi-sensory journey for visitors and the pieces provided the perfect, neutral backdrop against which his designs could stand out. With polka-dot sofas, screaming teddy bears and signature bright hues of his clothes and homewares doing the talking, the Found x Appear Here pieces were the perfect silent scaffolding.

Frame your vision

Another deceptively simple – but dramatically effective – use of the rails is to frame your logo. Liam Hodges utilized this method for his distinctive Street Racer-on-fire ‘Lost Found’ logo – placing the wall-mounted emblem both above and below rails. You can double up with a mirror opposite to ensure visibility for the logo in different areas of the shop. Rails? Not just for hanging clothes, after all.

Recreate a mood

When Piglet decided to activate their first ever pop-up, it made sense for this bedding and sleepwear brand to recreate a bedroom that would inspire anyone to take 40 winks. Founder Jessica welcomed visitors from behind the cashdesk creating a focal point for entering the store. Upstairs she used the stacked shelves to display her 100% French flax linen bedding in each colour. In the center of the store, she used a cluster of plinths to create an additional display space to showcase a rotating collection of featured items. Downstairs she used the shelving to display ceramic dishes, creating a homely kitchen vibe to contrast the bedroom above.
