While the space is beautifully finished and fully kitted out, it sits on the lower ground floor — so if you’re after a high-street frontage for product displays, the Retail Space upstairs might suit you better. That said, if you want a flexible, functional, and inspiring base for workshops or creative gatherings, The Studio Space is spot on.

Booking Requirements:
For your booking to be approved and to speed up your enquiry, you must supply the following information:
– Details about your brand and the purpose of your activation
– Proposed dates and duration
– Live hours (including set-up, live, and derig times)
– Set-up plans (including images of what the activation will look like)
– A layout plan (SketchUp file available from Landlord)
– A full Risk Assessment
Licensing & Insurance:
There is no alcohol licence on site. Alcohol may only be given away for free or sold under a Temporary Events Notice (TEN), which can be obtained via the Manchester City Council.
Our venue does not hold a Market Rights Licence. If you are hiring the space for a pop-up or showcase event with five or more individual sellers/traders, you may need to obtain one through Manchester City Council.
You must also hold valid Public Liability Insurance for your event.
Evening & Monday Bookings:
Evening bookings are available (e.g. overnight setup); however, an out-of-hours staffing fee applies for all bookings outside regular office hours (9:30 AM – 5:30 PM), as well as for all bookings on Mondays. These bookings require two staff members and will incur an additional charge.
Venue Appearance:
The images shown on Appear Here are for reference only. Wall colours and finishes may vary depending on the latest exhibition or event.
Window Vinyls:
As per Appear Here’s listing rules, images must be anonymised, which is why the window vinyls have been removed online. This is standard across the platform and widely recognised by users. An additional fee applies for the removal of window vinyls; material and installation costs will be confirmed separately.
Wall Vinyls:
For any vinyl applied to our wall surfaces, a fee may apply for sanding and retouching after removal.
Space Access:
If your event requires additional space for storage, please speak to us directly — we will check availability, and any extra space will be subject to an additional charge.
Please note that the automatic door and reception area are not part of the retail space.
Artworks & Exhibitions:
Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the landlord, all existing artwork/objects displayed in the space must remain in place.
Under no circumstances should the tenant/brand or individuals connected to the event interfere with or damage the museum’s exhibitions, property, or fixtures. Any damage will be charged to the tenant/brand at full replacement cost.
Event Type Restrictions:
This listing is suitable for experiential or promotional activations only, not for market traders.
Power Use:
Power points are located throughout the venue, but any cables must be secured using regulated trunking, and all equipment must be PAT tested.
Security:
Additional security personnel must be hired through the managing agents.
Catering & Waste:
Food can be provided by an external catering company; however, all catering and waste management must be arranged by the tenant/brand
