Cookie policy

Last updated: 27 October 2026

This policy explains how Appear Here uses cookies and similar technologies on www.appearhere.co.uk, and how you can choose which ones we use.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your computer or phone when you visit it. They let the website remember things about your visit, such as whether you’re logged in, and help us understand how the website is used. Some are set by us (first-party cookies) and some by other companies whose services we use (third-party cookies).

How we ask for your consent

When you first visit the website, a banner asks which cookies you’re happy for us to use. You can:

  • Allow all cookies
  • Deny all, so we only use the cookies the website needs to work
  • open Cookie settings and choose category by category

Until you choose, we only use necessary cookies. We remember your choice for 6 months, then ask again.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the Manage cookies link at the bottom of every page, or here: Manage cookies.

The types of cookies we use

  • Necessary. These make the website work: keeping you logged in, keeping your account secure, remembering your cookie choices and spaces you’ve shortlisted. They can’t be switched off.
  • Preferences. These remember choices you make, such as settings on the website. We only use them if you agree.
  • Analytics. These help us understand how people use the website so we can improve it, for example which pages are visited most. We use Google Analytics. We only use them if you agree.
  • Marketing. These are used by advertising partners such as Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, Pinterest and Lead Forensics to show you relevant ads and to measure how well our ads work. We only use them if you agree.

The cookies on this website

The list below shows every cookie we use, with who sets it, what it’s for and how long it lasts. It comes straight from our consent tool, so it stays up to date.

If the list doesn’t appear, open Manage cookies to see it.

Blocking cookies in your browser

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block necessary cookies, parts of the website, such as logging in, may not work.
