Home to more high street banks and chains than indie boutiques and eateries, this stretch of Upper Street is a bit more down to earth – but, oh boy, is it busy. Over the road from Angel station, adjacent to the Angel Central shopping centre, and with two major bus stops on its doorstep, this shop to let is in a great position for your brand to get noticed, and certainly isn’t short on space to let your idea grow.
With Angel station, Angel Central and the Business Design Centre all within five minutes’ walk, this part of Upper Street is pretty much continuously busy. On weekdays, you’ll see young families on the school run and young professionals heading to and from work; in the evenings you’ll see a fair few of them spilling out from Angel station and making their way as far as The York pub opposite you. Angel Central attracts a young, affluent and largely female crowd during the week, and more of a mix at weekends. Saturdays and Sundays are the busiest days as more tourists and Londoners mingle with locals. Angel tube is a two-minute walk – less if the traffic lights are on your side.
You’ll have a branch of Accessorize and the entrance to Angel Central (annual footfall of 11 million) to one side of you, an empty shop and The Nags Head pub to the other. The York and Toni & Guy are opposite.
This really is a huge space, so won’t suit all ideas and brands.
