A Little About This Space

Established in 1904 as a studio for theatrical scenery, the aptly-named Painting Rooms is a striking Grade I listed building in the middle of London’s Theatreland, and is now available to hire as an event space. While the building is now used as a contemporary art gallery, traces of its original use remain in its high glass ceilings and double-height doors. Booking this unique space will give you three rooms over two floors, as well as the use of a small kitchen and two bathrooms.

You’ll be behind St Giles-in-the-Fields church, which hosts album launches and live concerts alongside its regular services, and you’ll see some workers from Flitcroft Street’s businesses, which include a couple of creative agencies and a PR firm. However, despite being in the thick of the West End between Shaftsbury Avenue and Denmark Street’s famous music shops, not many people will stray down this quiet, narrow street. Tottenham Court Road station is three minutes away.

Your nearest neighbours will be St Giles-in-the-Fields and creative agency Just Add Water. On the corner of Flitcroft Street and Denmark Street is a busy Fernandez & Wells café bar.
