Home to upmarket shops, bars and thousands of city dwellers, Putney is a London enclave to the south-west of the city. And the Exchange Centre is its resident shopping destination – not far from the bank of the River Thames. Launch your idea where 4.4 million visitors pass by each year.
This space is close to Waitrose, one of the centre’s anchor stores – great for bringing in crowds on weekdays as much as weekends. This is a small, clean-looking retail unit with a glass-frontage to amp up merchandising. Inside, the floor is concrete, the walls are white with some wooden finishes, and there are fitted boutique lights. Successful ideas that have already popped up here include a jewellery brand, an accessories label, and a fashion concept.
Putney has great access to central London on the District Tube line, and the centre itself has 250 customer car parking spaces – making it a popular choice for shoppers in a city with limited parking space.
