The Lower East Side is where art, music, and food all come together into a beautiful, incongruous emulsion that is downtown NYC culture. Enclaves of cozy cocktail bars where creatives and businessmen intermingle within the greater Chinatown area is a common sight in these parts. Sitting on Henry Street, this small space for rent is in good company among the other art galleries residing in this corner of the Lower East Side.
Art seekers in love with contemporary and modern art come visit all the charming galleries in the neighborhood. Sargent’s Daughters is a favorite featuring contemporary art with rotating exhibitions. Reena Spaulings Fine Art is a trendy venue showcasing artwork from contemporary artists. There’s an endless amount of food options as well – Mission Chinese Food on East Broadway is a popular choice for dinner among tourists and locals. A couple of blocks away on Canal, Clandestino and Forgtmenot are both well liked late-night haunts. The East Broadway F station is 2 blocks away.
Next door to you is Shrine art gallery. Further up the street, Les Enfants de Boheme is a cozy French cafe that locals frequent. Around the corner is Ice and Vice, an ice cream shop with inventive flavors.
Henry Street is more on the secluded side, be sure to have the appropriate signs to draw attention. The space itself is also small so be sure to make the most out of it.
