Westgate’s 2017 revamp brought a brand-new boutique cinema, rooftop bars and restaurants, crazy golf course, and street food market, Westgate Social, to Oxford’s city centre shopping mall – boosting visitor numbers to up to 20 million per year. Families and groups of friends can already dine at the likes of Benito’s Hat and Ned’s Noodle Bar at Westgate Social, and you can introduce your F&B idea to them by bringing it to this great-looking, fitted-out kiosk.
THE CROWD
Oxford’s local and student population is boosted by 9.5 million tourists per year, and Westgate is a big draw for all and sundry thanks to its mix of high street favourites – including a flagship John Lewis – and high-end names, as well as its cool offering of eateries. As you’d expect, lunchtimes are when Westgate Social is at its busiest, especially Saturdays and Sundays, although you’ll see people dropping in for an after-work, or post-shopping, bite in the evenings, too. Oxford station is a 15-minute walk away.
You’ll be sharing Westgate Social with Junkyard Golf, Ned’s Noodle Bar, Icelandic burger chain Tommi’s, and burrito and margarita joint Benito’s Hat.
Westgate has 100 shops, including a flagship John Lewis, a five-screen boutique cinema, crazy golf course, and 25 eateries and bars across 800,000 sq. ft.
Annual footfall of up to 20 million.
Westgate Social can be quiet at times - you’ll need to let people know that you’re here.
