Heralding the start of the season to be jolly in Stratford’s East Village, (the former Olympic Athletes’ Village), the Christmas Makers Market is a celebration of hand-crafted accessories, homewares, fashion and food taking place on Saturday 1st December. Join in the festivities, which will include live music, a carousel and a Christmas tree light switch-on, by renting an inside or outside stall here.
Hailed as “London’s hippest postcode” by Vogue when East Village first opened in 2013, E20 still has a buzz about it five years later. The development is home to a lovely selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, such as Dalston coffeeshop Tina, We Salute You and boutique salon Blue Tit, and around 6,000 residents - expect to see a fair few of them among the crowd that will come here to buy gifts and get into the Christmas spirit. Stratford station is a 10-minute walk away.
You’ll be next to the Olympic Park, and close to the massive Westfield shopping centre, Lee Valley VeloPark and the Copper Box gym and sports hall. Businesses within East Village include artisan bakery Signorelli, award-winning gelato makers La Gelatiera and the stylish Darkhorse restaurant.
Trading Hours: 12:00 - 18:00.
Stalls will be provided - this includes a gazebo and 6ft trestle table.

No water can be disposed of in the drains.
