Taking inspiration from the Art Deco building it’s housed in, this cute, Insta-friendly café injects a bit of pastel-coloured South Beach style into this particular corner of Clapton – and now the owner is looking for an F&B concept to take over the space from Mondays to Wednesdays. Café Miami’s American-style brunches and treats have already gained a loyal local following, now it’s your turn to wow them with your idea. View the floorplan for this space.
It’s amazing to think this used to be a no-go area now the creative crowd has moved in, bringing a new wave of cool coffeeshops, quirky bar-restaurants and independent boutiques with them. It’s very rarely quiet on this busy main road, but there’s a neighbourhood feel about it as residents old and new stroll around shopping for groceries, running errands or grabbing a bite to eat. The Elephant’s Head and Les Nénettes nearby are popular drinking and dining spots in the evenings – especially towards the weekend. You’ll be 10 minutes’ walk from both Hackney Central and Hackney Downs stations.
Café Miami is part of The Strand Building, a mixture of offices and flats, and you’ll be next door to the Angus-Hughes Gallery. Over the road is Charles Good Food, an artisan bakery, and The Elephant’s Head, a revamped Victorian pub serving cocktails and brasserie-style food.
The space can be open until later for special requests, but there would need to be an additional charge for this
A1 license, no alcohol.
Available to let Monday-Wednesday, and for the whole of April 2019.
You can dress the space, but no major changes as this is a working business.
You’ll only be able to use the space from Monday to Wednesday, so you’ll miss out on the weekends. However, there’s an opportunity to have it for the whole of April.
