When you’ve got a century-old gold mosaic sign over your entrance, why would you change it? Famous Fitzrovia gallery TJ Boulting takes its name from the engineering company that once occupied its stunning Arts and Crafts home on Riding House Street, which is now available to rent for events, product launches, sample sales and pop-up retail concepts.
Although you’re just over from Oxford Street, you won’t get so many shoppers here. However, weekday lunchtimes and evenings see young office workers, creatives and media types (the BBC’s HQ is around the corner) heading to the likes of Homeslice, The Green Man, Kaffeine and The Riding House Café. The latter two also get busy with the weekend brunch crowd. Goodge Street station is five minutes’ walk away.
You’ll be next door to design agency Athlon London, and opposite the Josh Lilley Gallery and The Green Man pub.
This isn’t a major shopping location yet, but Riding House Lane is growing in popularity with clever retailers wanting to get their idea in front of the area’s many media workers and creatives.
No art exhibitions or gallery pop-ups are allowed in this space.
