Ever since Spitalfields Market was revamped in the early 2000s, neighbouring Brushfield Street has slowly evolved from an afterthought to a high street in its own right. Having one of the more distinctive facades on the street, this vintage-style shop to let has been home to a bootmaker, bookbinder, milliner and delicatessen (to name but a few), and now it’s ready for a new idea to move in.

THE CROWD

You’re on the main route to the market, Commercial Street and Brick Lane from Liverpool Street station (five minutes’ walk away), and near the newly developed London Fruit & Wool Exchange, which is set to become a new shopping destination. During the week, lunchtimes and evenings are the busiest times – City workers flock here for lunch and a browse around the increasingly high-end shops. Thursday to Sunday sees Spitalfields Market in full swing and numbers reach their peak as tourists and Londoners flock to the area.
