Bar & Restaurant
Whiteleys doesn’t just look different to other shopping centres – it’s got a history few others can match. This grand looking West London destination opened as the city’s first department store in 1912, which makes it a natural setting for today’s retail pioneers to launch new ideas. (Over to you.) This space is next to M&S and is a former Whittard of Chelsea store. It has a shuttered entrance and unusual curved window displays at the front, where you can start to share your idea and tell your story. Inside it’s a triangular-shaped layout with a small staffroom at the back and fixed shelving which you can either be kept or removed. You’ll be close to the entrance to the shopping centre – poised for footfall. Other busy spots nearby include one of the centre’s cash machines and Costa Coffee. Spend time creating the perfect window displays to bring people over.
