Like most New York City neighborhoods, Chelsea has gone through many transformations throughout the years – from industrial factory town to present-day cultural center for the arts and one of the most sought-after areas in Manhattan to live in. A few blocks down from the Chelsea Hotel, West 18th Street is home to a number of furniture and home decoration store and it’s where you can rent this expansive showroom.
Chelsea is for people who love art. Tourists flock here to go to the many exhibits and galleries that populate the area. Just around the block on West 17th Street, the Rubin Museum of Art houses sculptures, paintings, and other artworks from the Himalayas. Live entertainment is also a big deal in Chelsea with the Gotham Comedy Club and The Joyce Theater a few blocks away. The 18th Street 1 is half a block away and the 14th St F/M/L is less than a 5-minute walk.
Next door is Lazzoni Furniture and From the Source, both high-end furniture stores. A few doors down is a West Elm. On the same block is Rouge Tomate, a modern bistro that’s popular for dinner.
This particular block is replete for furniture stores, be sure to separate yourself from the pack.
