During the warmer months, this part of the Hamptons is a welcome weekend oasis away from the city’s daily grind. The main beach in Water Mill is Flying Point Beach, where most visitors and locals go to soak up the sun. The nearby Princess Diner is a neighborhood institution that’s always crowded with regulars. The closest train station is the Southampton stop off the LIRR, a 10-minute drive away.
