THE CROWD

During the week daytimes are fairly quiet, although you will see a few Islington locals shopping for groceries at the Tesco Express and Sainsbury’s over the road. Evenings and weekends are when Essex Road gets livelier, as the area’s younger crowd go for brunch in nearby coffee shops such as Trade, browse for secondhand furniture in Mr All Sorts, or grab a drink (or two) in the likes of The Lord Clyde.
