A Little About This Space

Close to Manchester city centre, Salford’s MediaCityUK is a new waterfront destination for work and play. It’s home to bars, restaurants, shopping malls and over 250 businesses, including the BBC and ITV. Located in front of The Greenhouse building – where the media and entertainment trade union BECTU is based – is the Nutri Bar health-food cafe, which is available to rent for events from 3pm onwards, seven days a week. It comes with a fully functioning kitchen.

It's busiest here during the working week. Apart from office workers and media types, tourists visit for the guided BBC tours and the nearby University of Salford brings students to the area. The Pitch is quite often booked up for five-a-side football and netball seven days a week. Trains to and from Manchester city centre run from Broadway Metrolink, a five-minute walk away.

Upmarket grocers, Booths, has a shop and café across the football pitch outside, and there’s a Holiday Inn and Marco Pierre White restaurant on the same stretch, too.

Rules of The Space

The venue is available to rent 7 days a week, from 3pm onwards for a minimum of one hour.

Minimal decor for short term rental. It would need to be returned to its original condition afterwards.

A3 license available. A TEN would need to be obtained for alcohol use.

There are freestanding recycling bins on site for waste collection. Any additional waste must be taken off site by brands.

Home Truths

The weekends are a little quieter without all the working professionals, so it's more of a weekday destination.

Brands must have a focus on health and wellbeing to complement Nutri Bar's current offering.
