It may be called Rick Stein Barnes, but it’s actually Mortlake where you’ll find the celebrity chef’s first London restaurant, as well as an attractive stretch of eateries, shops and local businesses that make up Sheen Lane. Get your idea among them with this pop-up shop to let on this lively south London high street.
Between Kew and Barnes, and a short drive to Shepperton Studios, Mortlake is home to plenty of young families, creatives and media types. Mortlake station and Thompson House School are a couple of minutes down the road, so you could stop a lot of the affluent locals in the mornings and evenings. The garden, vintage and charity shops along this street attract passersby all day long, with weekends being the busiest.
There’s a PC and phone repair shop on one side, and a tailor on the other. Opposite is the family-friendly Robin Craft Café.
You can brand the windows and place an A Board outside.
Hours of operation: No activity including loading can happen outside of 07:00 - 23:00. Please confirm with the Local Authority regarding their permitted trading hours for your type of activity.
Damage deposit: £250
The space is available to rent for a minimum of one week and a maximum of one month.
No renovation or redecoration allowed.
This is quite a small space, so you’ll have to get creative with how you make use of it.
