Midtown East is known for two things: famed skyscrapers like the Empire State Building and Chrysler Building, and high-end shopping on 5th Avenue. On 2nd Avenue, far from the Times Square tourist trap, locals and office workers dine at the many high-end restaurants. Around the corner from the famous Smith & Wollensky, this former restaurant comes with basement storage and a gutted kitchen, and it’s yours to rent for retail.
Commuters hang out in this section of Midtown East because of how close it is to Grand Central, enjoying the after-work bar and restaurant scene. Places like The Smith and Sparks Steak House are hotspots after a long day for young professionals. The Lexington Ave 53 St E/M and 51st Street 6 are both a five-minute walk away.
La Cava wine bar and Le Pain Quotidien are both next door. Across the street is a Starbucks and a grocery store. Around the corner is the popular Crave Fishbar and the upmarket Sea Fire Grill.
This used to be a restaurant but it's been emptied and the kitchen has been gutted. The Landlord is happy for it to be transformed for retail.
