In Manchester’s city centre, the Mayfield area has been the site of a printworks, bath house, morgue, numerous beer houses and a train station-turned-sorting office – which still stands today. Housed within this epic historic building – which has more recently been the place for Manchester City FC’s end of season party – this self-contained archway with its own entrance is available to rent for events.
During the week, you’ll see a few students from the nearby halls and workers from the Mayfield & Co co-working space. Over the summer, street food fair Grub next door draws around 2,000 food-loving revellers to Mayfield every weekend. On Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons there’s a guided tour of the area, attracting tourists and Mancunians alike. Manchester Piccadilly station is a six-minute walk away.
The neighbouring Mayfield & Co co-working space is home to the Bottle Candle Co., events company Commonplace and property developers U + I’s HQ.
Licence: A1 and premises.
The space is available to rent for a minimum of 1 day.
Any redecoration and renovation plans must be approved by the Landlord beforehand.
This old building is a little rough around the edges, so it won’t be for everyone.
You’re in the middle of the city, but still a bit off the beaten track so you’ll have to let people know you’re here.
