If Oxford Road was a bit short on shops before, the opening of Hatch is bringing plenty of new and exciting brands to the area. Made from stripped-down shipping containers, Hatch is a space to shop, eat and drink. This brand-new shop space fronts directly onto Oxford Road.
You’ll be close to the largest single-site campus in Britain, so there are plenty of students in the area. Nearby bars like The Deaf Institute and The Dancehouse keep them close by even after lecture halls have closed. There's also an abundance of week day footfall from office workers and tourists and locals are drawn to the area by the surrounding art galleries, theatres and the super luxe Principal Manchester hotel. Oxford Road station is a five-minute walk away.
This space is already home to Takk’s new artisan espresso bar, as well as their nano brewery and keg bar called Öl. There's also a street food courtyard with a 12-weekly rotating line up. And just up the road is the New York Times-recommended Principal Manchester hotel.
Opening hours:
Monday - Friday: 10:00 - 18:00
Saturday: 11:00 - 17:00
Sunday: Closed
There's the option to trade longer with permission from management.
No retail availability at Hatch until March 2019 until the scheme completes.
Hatch sits under the Mancunian Way flyover so there'll be a lack of natural light in the space, but the unit is well-lit.
