The East Village is one of New York’s most vibrant neighborhoods. One of the birthplaces of punk, the area has its share of famous dive bars, vintage clothing shops, record stores, and this pop-up restaurant space for rent on East 13th Street.
During weekdays, this area can be a bit slow, but at night and during the weekends it really becomes lively as people head to restaurants like Black Seed and Hearth, and bars such as Drop Off Service and The Spotted Owl. The L Train at 1st Ave is around the corner.
Your direct neighbors are Keybar and residential buildings, with Kumo Sushi, Papa Johns, and Phoenix Bar on the block too. Obscura Antiques & Oddities from the TV show “Oddities” is nearby, as are Westville East, Please Don’t Tell, and of course Thompkins Square Park.
The residential street might be quiet during the weekdays, but will liven up in the evenings.
