Branching off the Bethnal Green Road end of Brick Lane, Cheshire Street has become a destination thanks to its collection of vintage fashion boutiques and independent ideas, including the new home of non-dairy cheesemonger La Fauxmagerie. THE CROWD

Things can be a little quiet here during the week, although Cheshire Street is well-known among lovers of vintage fashion and knowing shoppers, and its barbers and beauty parlours can get busy at lunchtimes and after office hours. At weekends, the area is alive with tourists and locals browsing the markets of Brick Lane and shoppers making their way to and from nearby Redchurch Street and Boxpark. Cheshire Street also hosts its market on the first Sunday of every month.
