Brooklyn's easternmost neighborhood, East New York, is currently experiencing a revival. This gritty urban landscape is the backdrop to a growing number of small businesses – all catering heavily towards locals. This retro-looking retail showroom for rent inside an old-school townhouse building is unique to the area.
The neighborhood welcomes a racially diverse community. In the last year, it's seen an influx of new residents, who are priced out of already-trendy areas in Brooklyn such as Bushwick and Bedford-Stuyvesant. Pennsylvania Av. station is a six-minute walk from this space.
This space is surrounded by family-run delis, local clothing shops and dollar stores in a mix of Brooklyn's top primary schools, churches and community gardens. There's also a local Chinese restaurant a few doors down.
Brands can't change the storefront, but can decorate the interior of the space to their liking.
East New York doesn't have much to offer in terms of retail yet, but it's an area that's increasingly gaining attention as far as Brooklyn is concerned.
