The TurnStyle Underground Market brings the excitement of Columbus Circles below ground for shoppers who are in a hurry. Long popular in places like Tokyo and Hong Kong, underground markets with praise-worthy food and shops are a novel concept in the US. This bright retail space is a great way to get brand exposure from millions of New Yorkers.
The Columbus Circle station is one of the busiest in New York, with annual ridership of 23 million people. The station attracts many tourists, but also locals who live in the Upper West Side. Places like the Time Warner Center attract shoppers to the area. Subway lines A, B, C, and D have exits which lead through the TurnStyle Market. The market is also accessible from 57th St and 8th Avenue. (Additionally, there is an elevator on 59th and 8th St.)
Right across from the retail space is a QB Tokyo House, a Japanese hair salon that offer quick, affordable haircuts. Next door is an ELF Cosmetic store. There is also a Dylan’s Candy Bar and a Mulberry & Grand. All in all, the TurnStyle market has 38 establishments (18 retails stores and 20 food vendors)
The shop does see a lot of foot traffic but they tend to be in hurry, so grabbing their attention is a must.
