Shop of the Week: The Pudding Bar

25 Jul 2014

Great news for the sweet toothed, Soho's first dedicated Pudding Bar has opened its doors. Bringing Dessert to the forefront of the menu this pop-up seeks to buck the industry’s current obsession with calorie control, by offering a sugar laden taste of indulgence.

The Pudding Bar

The Pudding Bar was launched by Emily Dickinson, Pete Cawston and Oliver Whitford-Knight who wanted to indulge their passion for pudding. All the baking is handled by Gordon Ramsey trained chef Laura Hallwood, whose created a delightful menu of sweet treats including Eton Mess, S’more Cheesecake, Panna Cotta and Lemon Parfait.

The Pudding Bar

Situated on Greek Street, The Pudding Bar offers a relaxed, and down-to-earth alternative to the boisterous, boozy pub scene in this area. Whether you're in need of an after theatre treat or looking to share a couple of glasses of wine with a friend The Pudding Bar is a great option. It's open from Monday – Saturday 7am – midnight and Sundays 7am -11pm, cake is available all around the clock.

We spoke to Emily, Oliver and Pete to find out what their favourite moment had been so far;

“I think one of the most amazing things so far has been getting to see our customers reactions when they try the puddings. It has been an idea that we've all been working on for so long, that actually getting to see people enjoy something you've created is an incredible feeling. It's hard not to have that bring a smile to your face.”
