In the iconic film My Fair Lady, Eliza Doolittle is sent to Whiteleys ‘to be attired’. Such was the obvious choice for women in London in the 20th century. Today, Whiteleys shopping centre also includes a cinema, bowling alley, and plenty of places to dine as well as shop. That’s where you come in.
This F&B space is on the ground floor, with a shuttered front close to a shared public seating area. Inside, the space features minimal decor and has room for both serving and seating guests. There’s lots of space for prep and serving at the bar at the front, but a kitchen will need to be fitted to cook on site. Luckily, there’s an extraction in place already.
You’ll get the shared public seating space included in your booking – great for attracting weary shoppers over. Think about how to stand out from the food and drink on offer at the nearby cinema and bowling alley.
Whiteleys hosts 75 units over 285,000 sq ft.
The centre enjoys over 6 million annual visitors, with a catchment of 206,000 residents.
Key stores include JOY, Starbucks, H&M, M&S and Toys R Us.
There’s an ODEON cinema and All Star Lanes bowling alley on site.
The centre is open from 8am until Midnight, Monday to Saturday, and from 8.30am to Midnight on Sundays.
Stores need to be open from 10am until 8pm, Monday to Saturday. On Sundays the shops are open between 12-6pm although the centre is open earlier outside of these hours. You can apply to open outside of these hours to be decided by the Landlord for what purpose.
Parking is available at an additional cost, it's also located outside of the congestion charge zone, with 175 roof top spaces available in total.
Damage Deposit starts at £1000 and depends on nature of booking.
The decor is quite dark. But the location is great.
